DayZ -TX- Community Feedback #2

Posted 12 Sep 2012 in Community News

Here is another awesome email I want to share with everyone. This one was sent by BClinton.

“Not a support issue but didn’t know how else to phrase it.   Wanted to let you guys know what a great job on the website and server you are doing.  If you are down with adding a new squadmate outside TX you have a friend in Alabama.   Would be happy to join up with you all sometime.   Also, how much do you pay for server hosting per month?  I am also happy to donate a little for the privilege of playing on such a well maintained and monitored server.  Anyway, hope you all are doing well!

First, I would like to thank you for your email, for playing on our server, and for the interest in supporting the community. Just because we are known as DayZ Texas that doesn’t mean we want to exclude anyone from our community. We decided on the name DayZ Texas because the other admins and I all live in Texas. We want anyone that enjoys playing DayZ to be a part of our community. I’m not sure if you saw my Earn your Tags post which outlines how you can earn your -TX- tag. We want the tag to symbolize being a part of our community and anyone that shows their support can wear it. Currently, our website is visited by gamers from all over the world. (Click here to see a screenshot of the top 25 countries we receive traffic from.) We are really proud of this and we would like to extend an invitation for anyone to join us on US 2134

Server hosting is currently the biggest expense we have running DayZ TX. We recently added a Donate button on the right side of the homepage to help cover some of the costs of running the server. I would like take this opportunity to reach out and ask anyone that enjoys playing with us on US 2134 to help out if they have the ability to. Donations are currently accepted through PayPal. Help fight the infection…donate today! 😀

Thanks again for your email BClinton,

-TX- Admins
